Daestwen's Gallery serves as an online portfolio for my long-time friend Britt. It runs on a very substantial PHP4 code-base, written from scratch over several months. My intention at the time was to distil a fairly extensive application development platform from all that PHP, but then I discovered Ruby on Rails and it hardly seemed worth the effort.
All of the art belongs to Britt, while the site-layout and design is my work. It is pretty graphically intense, and I even opted to make heavy use of semi-transparent PNGs (Non-Internet Explorer users might notice that the angel can be seen through some of the fore-ground layers) and CSS.
